More users

I work for a Software comapny with 6000 customers. Our software is $8,995 and support is $995 a year. If we had 6 million users we could charge less.

the more people you can see to the less you can charge.

Because they can have patches made available for them and console games need to be near flawless.

$8995...must be a really good game. What are the system reqs. :D

Also: I dont know about flawless console games. There are some crappy crap console games out there. Maybe they charge more because people who play console games that also exist for PC need to be punished for their bad judgement.

PC games are cheaper because there are no royalties or licensing fees to be paid (other than the game's own licenses).

Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft each take a significant cut of each game's retail sale, plus they charge through the NOSE for development rights, support, and dev kits.

Didn't think about that.

And regarding the "flawless" comment. I'm just saying that once a console game is made, there's really no way of changing it.
