I had to reformat because of an error i kept getting and after reformatting my computer has froze two times. Everything is at stock cpu-z reads voltage at 1.050 then jumps to 1.288. I thought stock for E6600 was 1.3 or something is it possible my cpu isn't getting enough juice so it's freezing? I have it set to auto in bios which is 1.3 should I change that to make cpu-z read 1.3?

Your computer reads 1.05 sometimes because you have SpeedStep enabled...this basically underclocks the processor when it's not under load to save power and output less heat. 1.288 is pretty close to 1.3V and is probably just due to the vDroop of your motherboard. If you really think your CPU is not getting enough volts then set it to 1.35 in the BIOS and try again. I think that your CPU most likely isn't the source of your problem though, as most CPUs will run if given a bit less voltage at stock (at the stock speed)...check your RAM or other parts to make sure they are stable and not contributing to your system's freezing issues.

I ran memtest for 30 mins and it passed everything. Besides the cpu (using orthos right now)
what else can I test and what do I test it with?
