ok, here is the story

the mobo dies, i send it in, i get it back today...i put it all together, turn it on, and i smell this awful burning and crispy stench

first things on my mind...1) cpu just fried, 2) a cable is on the board backward, 3) i put the ram in backward, 4) someone unknown just raped my system

i checked each thing, my cpu is fine, cables were on straight, ram was in correctly (BUT THERE IS BLACK STUFF ALL OVER IT!!!) and nothing seemed out of place

i looked close at the ram after minutes of search around, and then i smelled it...it stunk bad and i know that must have been it, but not the board doesnt work anymore!!! Does newegg take an RMA on the same thing, twice? and what do i do about this ram? they are going to think i tampered with it or something, but all i did was put it in! i got it from hardcorecooling.com

i e-mailed them, but i dunno how that is gonna go over

so someone tell me, what do i do with those things? the board and 1 stick of the ram....and is there anyway i can test the board to make sure it works? i cant get it to post at all

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

thanks
