Computer freezing with new mobo/cpu

I just installed my new MSI K8N Neo2P and everything seems fine. When I start playing LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth (on ultra high settings) it freezes in the first few minutes or even seconds (It froze both times I started playing). Does this mean my mobo is bad?

Maxtor 80Gig
 
Could be, what's more likely to be the problem is either ther CPU or Video Card. Update/reinstall the drivers for the video card and see if that helps. If not, make sure that h/s on the CPU is correctly set to rule out overheating...
