Hi everyone. :)

I'm having problems with 2 sata drives.

Anytime I try to copy alot of files from one drive to another it freezes my computer up.
Running defrag, disk manufacturer tests, scanning for bad sectors (on the J Sata drive) etc freezes up . I scan for errors and it doesn't report anything bad and doesn't freeze.
The other night I was burning a dvd and my system froze up as well. Dvd burner is an older ide drive.

It also freezes up doing spyware virus scans.

Cables seem to be tight. I haven't did any hardware changes recently.

Any help would be appreciated.

Computer specs would be helpful here - MB, etc.

You might try isolating your drives - have only one hooked up at a time to see if one of them is causing a problem.

Just got home from the weekend.

It is indeed a drive. It looks like it got corrupted, I formatted it and so far so good :)
