Computer freezes when downloading at high speeds

So if I download a torrent, and it hits at about 150kbs or higher my computer will freeze for about a minute and then come back one. It will keep doing this as long as I am either downloading something or sometimes when installing programs.

I have a feeling it's my Netgear WiFi card, but figured I would ask the genius' first.

Fist of all I would see if you hard Drive(s) are over heating. if you can rule this out I would hardwire your PC to the onboard NIC card if you have one and see if it does the same thing. If not then I would swap out the WIFI card.

Resolved: Needed to install drivers for my DVD-RW drive.
