My friend's computer keeps freezing whenever he does something video-demanding on his computer (like playing games). He has an AMD T-Bird 700MHz on an FIC AZ11 mobo, with an ATI Radeon 32DDR video card. We've tried several things, and can't seem to find the source of the problem. I even took out his video card and used it in my machine and I had no problems, so I think it's safe to assume it's not the video card.
We updated the drivers to the most recent official Radeon drivers from ATI's site, and that seemd to take care of the problem (we played Half-Life multi-player for several hours, and his computer didn't freeze), but the other day he said it froze again on him.
Interestingly, his +12 and +5 voltages are very high, running around +15 and +8. Do you think this could be the underlying cause of his trouble?
