Ever since I switched from a single-drive Vista x64 setup to a RAID 0 system, I've been getting some strange freezing issues. A couple days after I switched, I was using FF and the computer just froze - all the USB was still powered, but nothing was responding, mouse wouldn't move, etc. Normally when this happens (I had to deal with other freezing issues in the past) my speakers would emit a whine until I shut down and restarted. This time, they were silent.
That was the only time I ever got to see the freezing for myself.
The freezing manifests itself most often when my computer goes idle, though. I'll either leave my room for a couple hours or leave the comp on overnight and when I come back, nothing will respond. The monitor will have shut off (due to my power saving feature), but I won't be able to turn the monitor back on to see what time it froze.
Event log says nothing, and it doesn't seem to be a scheduler problem - it froze last night between 7pm and 10pm for the first time. Normally it just freezes overnight. And it's not a regular freeze, either - sometimes when I wake up, my computer will be on; sometimes, it won't be.
I really don't know what else it could be. This problem is getting more and more distressing, seeing as how I use my computer as my alarm clock and I'm not able to rely on my computer waking me up on time anymore.
