I have a problem I can't figure out. I notice it when playing battlefield 1942 desert combat. When a match first starts and I'm playing as usual, my screen freezes for about half a second roughly every second. Like my cpu is polling evvery second or something. THis goes on for about 2-5 minutes and then runs normal again.
I just noticed it happening out of nowhere when I tried running an mpg in windows media player too.
When I look at my process list during this, no particular application is causing the jump, but my system idle process jumps up as well as my cpy to 100% for that half a second.
Has anyone ever encountered this same problem and know how to fix this? I am using windows xp sp2.
