Hi all,
Most of the time my computer goes into sleep mode while in a 3d game and only in 3d games
At fisrt i suspected my 3d graphic engine and my psu. I proceeded to change both testing the computer after each change with same result.
Ive tested my RAM with mem test fors several hours with no errors
I am now suspecting a config setting in my bios, a faulty driver or the MB itself.
Any clues?

Specifications:
Win 7 64 bits
8 Go Ram 400 mhz DDR800
Intel Core 2 3000 Mhz
Asus P5b-E with latest version of bios
PSU 700 W (OCZ ModXstream pro) (old one was also a OCZ 700w)
XFX 5830 grahic card (old one waas a ATI hd4800)

Thanks for any tips

Can you wake it up afterwards? You might want to check out:

I believe you should be able to see which process issued the sleep command by launching an elevated command window and issuing the command:

powercfg -requests

Can't think of why it would be a hardware issue, or how that would be recoverable (since windows has to do things to enter/exit sleep properly).

Thank you for very intersting reply Podspi.
Ive launched powercfg while in game and found the audio driver (SoundMax) in use (system driver). Ill manipulate the driver and post back later.
