Computer Failure

Hi. I just want to ask what seems to be the problem with my computer if it has this kind of symptoms:

- The hard drive makes a scratching sound inside.
- I can still boot the computer but takes a very long time, just like having a low memory capacity.
- Sometimes when the pc boots there's a warning that there's something missing in the WINDOWS files, sometimes there's none.

So what seems to be the problem with my computer?

Bad hard drive.

Backup your important data and replace the HDD. It sounds like the HDD is dieing and the long boot time is form the drive trying over and over again to read damaged sectors.
