I have been using my front Firewire port to transfer video from my Sony DCR-TRV340. It has always worked fine in the past, but lately when I try to transfer it seems to be dropping every other frame. I haven't really done anything to the computer, the first time I thought it was because I was running distributed computing. Turned it off and still the same result. I have tried 2 different programs, with the same result. Is it possible that it is the cable/port? I have also turned down my overclock to see if that was causing it, same problem. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
