I have a question that's been nagging me for awhile. I have a PC and a laptop networked together through a Netgear hub, and they share a cable internet connection. When I'm not using the pc's internet connection (whether it goes into standby, or if I'm doing something else on it), after awhile it'll lose its internet connection and I have to reboot to get it back. Any ideas of what might be causing this? The pc has WinXP.
Someone has suggested the following, but it hasn't worked: "Go into your Control Panel, then System, then the Hardware tab and finally the Device Manager. Click on the + sign next to Network Adapters and then double click on your network adapter. Go to the Power Management tab and UNCHECK where it says 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'."
