This just started happening on this computer out of nowhere.
The machine doesn't shut down anymore and just goes into sleep mode and won't come out.
If I'm in Windows and go to shut down, the computer just freezes at the shutting off screen, then the hard drives spin down and the power light starts blinking like it's in suspended mode and never actually shuts off.
This is only when windows boots. I have a Sapphire 9600 and a built by ATI 7500. The 7500 works fine with Windows now, but the 9600 won't boot windows anymore. It goes to just before windows starts up and then it does the same thing as when it shuts off except the screen is black.
I hope I explained this well. I have a feeling the motherboard is shot, but I'm not 100% sure.
