Hey guys,

I am trying to install my Sidewinder gamepad, but my computer is not recognizing it. I am plugging it into the game port on the back of my SB LIVE! Value soundcard. Do you guys have any idea on why it won't detect it and what I can do to get the gamepad working?

Thanks

go to control panel/gaming options and add your sidewider gamepad to the list.

If that don't get it then check out your directx install. Go to RUN and type DXDIAG and check what it says about input. If it mentions anything but OK then reinstall direct x.

I think Melik k has you on the right track though....

Ok, I have tried that and it says that the gamepad is not connected. I think it is an issue with Win ME, SB LIVE! sound cards, and the sidewinder gamepads. Does anyone have these three things working and if so, how do you do it?

Thanks
