Did a format and fresh install of win 98 and now my computer doesnt find the CDRom. There is no D drive found. How do I remedy this?

Just open your computer and make sure the power cables are plugged in. Sometimes, a little bump could loosen up the cables. Hope this helps. :)

did you look for a E drive?? Maybe the RAM drive did not clear out and that would move your cd to E.

Does the drive tray work? Can you hit eject and have it open and close? Also watch for lights when you power on the computer. ojai00 has a good point about the power cable. I once bought a new cd-rom drive because I didn't bother to check the IDE cable... it had somehow come loose from a machine that is never moved or bumped :)
