This Sun workstation just suddenly called it quits. Basically it fails to boot up.
The harddrive doesn't spin, cdrom and case lights don't light up. All the interior
fans spin though. I thought maybe it was the power supply, but I used a DMM
and it is supplying 5v each, so the ps unit is not dead. Plus, the darn fans are
spinning. I switched the harddrives, cdrom, etc. Only thing I did not test were the
video card, cpu, and motherboard.
What's really confusing is that the cdrom doesn't even light up or come out at all
when you push the button. I read that the ps unit supplies power to the motherboard
first and will only work if it is connected to it. So is the mobo dead?
