I'm a Jr. in college now and since my freshman year I've had a 6' folding table for my computers. However, it's recently developed a bit of a bend in the middle from all the weight. It isn't in danger of collapse, but I'd prefer something a little more solid. Right now it's supporting a 19" CRT, a 15" CRT, a 25" TV, and several other pieces of AV equipment like a DVD player, a DV deck, breakout boxes, etc.

I'd like something that I can transport relatively easily in a mini-van, since I need to move it back and forth from home or my girlfriend's apartment at least 3 more times before I graduate, but weight isn't that much of an issue as long as I can at least break it down or fold it up or something. I prefer function over fashion, but if it looks good that's a plus. It needs to be able to support all the stuff I have listed above. Any ideas?

2 sawhorses and a sheet of glass

seriously, ikea sells tons of them, but you can make them yourself for cheaper

edit: glass may be replaced by plywood which you can cover in that paper you line cabinets with. you can make it look like marble!

but glass is cooler. you can get "nicer" looking sawhorse legs at ikea

If you have the money (which I wish I did), by a desk/table/cart/whatever from these guys. Their stuff has a lifetime warranty, and each of the shelves/tables/etc... can hold a PILE of weight (1000+ lbs). They are expensive, but if you want something you'll keep for a long time, I'd recommend one (wish I could afford one :).
