So, my Western Digital HD has been very screwy as of late. Its a 45GB HD but it kept thinking it was a 7.5GB all day long yesterday. Somehow, its ok now, and I'm just moving all my important files off it. However, there is a certain directory that causes the computer to crash when I copy files from it. I've gotten it to crash about three times now with that folder. This folder holds alot of program install files....dont know if that would play any role. Any ideas?

I got a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA message and the
STOP: (0xBF7F001C, 0x00000001, 0x80526A37, 0x00000002)

you could try installing this HD as slave in another machine, and try to access that particular folder through another HD's OS. If you cannot access it on this way, then you probably have a physical problem with your drive...
of course, in case you haven't yet tried it, running a disk utility like Norton Disk Doctor does not hurt :)
Just make sure you have the right version for your operating system, ok?

ok.....i'll try doing the copying in Linux later, just thought this was kinda peculiar since it only crashed when copy from a certain folder.
