Computer crashed after vista sleep

So I set up my new rig last night (see http://secure.newegg.com/WishL...ishListNumber=9976552) and it worked just fine first time I hit the power button. Installed vista-64 business, installed drivers, windows updates and some other programs.

I went to go to sleep for the night and hit Start then the little power icon that apparently puts the computer to sleep. When I did then my screen immediately went black and hasn't returned to normal since.

I tried turning it off, unplugging the actual power cable, removing the mobo battery and I cannot figure out what is wrong. When I turn the PC on all fans come on, cd-rom spins and it sounds like everything is working fine but nothing comes out of my monitor(no mobo splash or bios or anything) or speakers. any ideas?

Use the clear CMOS jumper? - Sounds like a botched hibernation file or something of that nature.

When I first installed Vista, I had a somewhat similar problem, though my computer did come back on eventually. you can change the behavior of that stupid HUGE frickin red button so that it shuts down the computer like it looks like it should, instead of putting it to sleep. ( go To Control Panel > Power Options > Click in the "Choose what the power buttons do" link on the left )

And that is exactly why I never use sleep or hibernate. There are too many problems with them.
