It's time that I do a major upgrade to my desktop. I heard that you folks here were nice and friendly, so I was wondering if you could give me a hand and help me pick out quality products. Here's the list I've compiled so far:

-CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+

-HD: Western Digital Caviar WD1600JD 160GB Hard Drive

-Mobo: Asus K8V Deluxe

-Memory: Crucial 1 Gig PC3200 DDR DIMM Memory

-Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB

-DVD+/-RW: NEC ND2500ABLK DVD±RW Writer

-Case:Antec Performance One P160 ATX Mid-Tower

Any comments/suggestions? Thanks for the help. 🙂
 
very nice system indeed. i personally wouldnt change anything but if you can wait another month or so, the new cards from nvidia and ATI should hit store shelves. ofcousre, they will cost more than a $200 9800 pro
 
Yeah, that's the horrible thing about building a computer. Always waiting for the next thing to show up. I have to build it within the next month though.
 
looks great, but wait a couple weeks for the new cards to come out so you can get the 9800 pro at hopefully less then $190.
