Looks pretty good overall. Personally I'd buy from Scan, the prices are better overall

MSI B75MA-P45 £51.30
i5-3470 £152.58
2x4GB Corsair Value 1333Mhz £34.56
XFX 6870 £119.62
Seagate ST1000DM003 £64.43
Samsung SH222-BB £13.18
XFX 450W £36.43
Antec Three Hundred Two £47.98

= £520.08

The PSU has 5yr warranty and 80+ Bronze efficiency, I'd favor it over CX430 for those reasons.

You'll need to use an adapter to power the second 6-pin connection on the graphics card, the graphics card packaging should come with one.

Not sure what you will be paying for postage but check out www.scan.co.uk, it is where I get all my components from and their "today only" deals can beat several of the prices you have listed from ebuyer (HDD and GPU are cheaper even without a special offer). You might get lucky and get an entire build but they tend to only list I3 or unlocked I5/I7 deals although if you keep an eye on their page you might get lucky (they update the deals about 2pm mon-fri)

Generally the build looks good but as you pointed out the GPU might be overkill depending on what you class as "light gaming" and how future proof you would like it to be. If you could drop £50-60 from the total through savings/GPU downgrade you could add a 60GB SSD to the build for your OS/programs which would make windows feel a lot "snappier" and generally improve your user experience.

Thanks everyone :)

Should have also mentioned no need for DVD drive

If I did go for SSD I would get a 128gb or 256gb I found it annoying when I have to keep changing we're to save files and install program's and perfer to have one storage device overall

Need to check reviews on mobo not sure if any good haven't seen much msi boards for intel

I just built a rig for my boss around an MSI board (B75) overall I was thouroughly impressed. Seemed very well put together and was a decent price. I have always stuck to ASUS previously but I will deffinitly consider MSI in the future now.

Personally I wouldn't go for less than 120GB either I was just trying not to destroy your budget which is very tight considering you want a quad and a gaming GPU.

By the way you don't mention anything about an OS, have you factored this in...

The SSD is definitely worth it, even if there is a minor inconvenience when it comes time to install programs. With a 128GB drive, you will never have to worry about where to put your save files and will be able to have all your normal applications plus 4-5 decently big games on there at once. With a 256GB drive, you wouldn't have to worry about space at all unless you're the type that needs to have every game in his Steam library installed at once.

That being said, I would probably skip the SSD this time around given that this is a gaming machine and your budget is somewhat tight.
