does anyone have a video where someone builds a computer from start to finish? Some where i can download or on youtube or google video?

Ive read a lot of guides but videos are the best as you see whats really going on.

Whats to not understand, all the pieces only really fit into one hole in one direction (kind of like alot of things in life)

You'd be surprised.

/me absently scratches anus

It takes me days though.

The first few days I only have my mobo sitting on my desk and a bunch of crap lying around for testing. It takes like 4 days before I put anything into a case, and at least another week before I do actual cable management and close up the case.

lmao...

1) put the motherboard in
2) put in the drives
3) put in the PSU
4) put in the processor
5) put in the heatsink/fan
6) put in the ram
7) put in the PCI/AGP/PCI-E cards
8) plug all cables into appropriate spots on the motherboard (ATA, SATA, audio, USB, fan power, motherboard ATX power, 12V power)
9) turn it on and install your OS.

Put the CPU and HSF in before you put in the PSU, or if you put the PSU in first move the cables out of the way.

Also make sure to callibrate the flux capacitor before you try to install Sco Unix.

seriously though, understand that many machines operate using the same fundamental principles, but apply different technologies to those fundamentals, makign the end result quite different than the theoretical one. As it can be said for the carnot engine and the rotary, it too can be said of a computer diagram and a quad-sli system.

You simply will not learn using a video. YOu would need a whole set, and even then, every part is different, so practice and delving deep into building is your ebst bet.

really? why? i have built like 5 computers and each has taken me up to a maximum of an hour to set up, then maybe another hour and a half until everything is good to go (OS, apps, internet, etc.). Odin is right. but i usually put the CPU/Heatsink on the motherboard before putting it in cause there are some heatsinks that are kinda hard to put on.

i add the cpu, hsf, and ram before i put it in the case, some of rams slots are tight....like this

I also put the CPU/HSF and RAM in the board first before installing the board. Also allows me to verify that the HSF is seated properly better.
