So one of my good friends is a CPU. She does a LOT of Excel, and some MS access, its her living. I am building a new box for her. I pretty much know what I need, but looking for experts that can help me tweak the build. Oh, and she mentioned watching some utube and videos. So below is my plan:
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-4620 v3, QS 10 core.
x99 ASUS motherboard.
4 x 8 gig 2800 cl 17 memory (32 gig total quad channel)
EVGA 1650 super video card.
500 gig Corsair 600 NVME boot/software drive.
2 TB spinner for storage (she is using 500 gig now, that should be plenty)
Power supply, case, etc, I can deal with, but she is on XP now and needed to upgrade (I would say past due)
She has Office 2010 that she spent like $400 on.
Any feedback ? BTW, the CPU may be overkill, but I have it already, got it for $29 and it should be fine compared to whatever her old box is using (6 years old)
