Error reports like that are rarely useful. Unless you know you changed something in the last 24 hours (e.g. installed new hardware or Patch Tuesday updates) then you're best off stripping the system down and making sure you haven't developed a hardware fault.

nothings installed at all...guess I have to test piece by piece. The only thing I upgraded in the last month was my video card so I guess I should be starting there.

OK, so my entire system just shut down. Now there, I can see the keyboard and 1 case fan is getting power but nothing else is...what the hell just happened?

Damn. I was hoping you had installed the round of patches from yesterday's Patch Tuesday; that would have made things easy to debug.

Strip it down and see if MemTest finds anything. Hopefully the problem will show itself quickly.

Any beeps? Even a memory error would give you something, which means it's likely PSU, CPU, or mobo.

no beeps at all...the LED on the mobo that should be displaying the error code does not even turn on...the weird part is that the dvdrom, keyboard (all the LEDs on the keyboard are on for some reason?) and 1 out of 4 case fans is getting power.

Probably just something simple like never being plugged in deep enough to latch. Had the same issue with an extension i used on an old P4 system being put in a big server case. I had nearly the same symptoms and was going to post that. Glad you got it!
