computer boots but wont work

Just recieved my amd 3500+, K8NNeo2 mobo, x-navigator case and 2 gigs of pc-3200 memory. Put everything together nicely then when i boot my computer up I get no beeps at all or no video. The motherboard tester says its the cpu but could it really be the cpu? Anything else i should try?

All PSU connectors snug? 2 to the mobo? mem seated and clicked in? AGP card seated?

Have the latest bios? Is it a Winchester?

If it's a Winchester core, the system will not POST unless the mobo comes preflashed with a BIOS to support the newer chips.

So are you saying the K8NNeo2 mobo doesnt work with winchester? know any that comes preflashed?

Dagz you try another monitor? You do need latest bios for 90nm amd cores. Your mobo works with Winches just need new bios.

It is not the monitor, i dont think the board is preflashed with the new bios. The bios version is 1.0 and i think the winchester needs higher. Guess im out of luck, its either i have to go for the other 3500+ or find a new mobo with a preflashed bios that supports winchester.

I see you posted in the thread where Computer MAn mentioned a possible workaround by booting with 1 stick of RAM, then flashing. Try that; if it doesn't work, RMA away.

Ok, I tried it with 1 stick of ram in it and it starts to boot up then dies out fast. Tried it with two sticks of ram both in the green, boots up but no beeps. Tried it with 1 in just the purple and it boots then dies. Both in the purple it boots up but no beeps.
