Can someone recommend good books that would help me sucessfuly build computers and mabe even get A+ certification in the future? Most books I find on Amazon are outdated/or have bad reviews. I need books that have the newest stuff like PCI-E and AMD FX.
It is preferrable that you recommend something that YOU read and something that helped YOU personally. NOT something you seen or heared elsewhere.
Thanx in advance for your help.

You don't need any books to learn how to build a computer. Check out MechBgon's tutorial. You can find him hanging out in the Technical Support Forum.

Agreed, books don't help, read stuff online and then build your own.

Getting an A+ certification requires, like, 1/3rd of a brain. The real learning process comes from just jumping right into the fray. Buy some really REALLY cheap crap that you can afford to ruin and start reading away on places like *gasp* Anandtech.

Well, mabe you're all right about this...
But I went to many forums.. Including this one off course... ppl gave me many advices, and told me it's not hard to build a PC. I blew $860 on computer parts, and all I got in return is a DEAD computer that will never work, even though I know for a fact that all parts are brand new and I followed all the rules and precautions. No matter what people suggested, nothing helped.
As a last resort someone suggested to take my mobo out of the case and try to run it like this, so that I know it's not shorting in the case. Well, I know I installed my mobo CORRECTLY. I'm not a mad scientist like some people, I do not have a deathwish, and I do now wish to use an open powered motherboard anywhere near me.
Oh well, thanx for your help anyway.

This may sound funny, but...How to build a PC for Dummies. It explains how to do it in plain English. As for A+, get a good tutorial book and get a good reference book.
