Computer Beeps

When I start my comp it just beeps with a long pause in between each beep. Any idea what might be causing this?

Depends on the motherboard. What kind of motherboard is it?

Its an Abit motherboard, I'm not sure of the model

The model is essential. Without the model, we can't determine the BIOS, and that is the key to deciphering beep codes. Example:

that is a link to the beep codes for your bios, sounds like it may be a RAM problem, is all the ram inserted correctly? are they installed in the right slots (start with DIMM1 and move to DIMM3) Hope this helps!

Welcome to the Anandtech forums I had that board, it's a good one! Please provide your hardware specs or make them your signature as it gives others a start on diagnosing your troubles. DaiShan is most likely correct that it's ram related, but it can also be your Power supply. Once you've posted your hardware specs such as how many sticks of ram and what brand,wattage, combined output power supply you have(info can be found on the sticker) the easier it'll be to narrow down your trouble.
