Computer beeps on boot up.

At first the monitor would remain on standby on bootup so I changed the vid card and it booted up properly then when booting up the computer hours later it began to beep and the monitor again remained on standby.

But now the beeping has stoped and when I try to boot up the computer the monitor just remains on standby.

So now im thinking its either the ram or the motherboard causing this problem. Because I've changed the vid card, monitor and power supply.

The mobo is a ABit KR7A-133. and I wanted to know if there anything I can do to fix this problem?
 
how many times does it beep? does it go beep beep beep beep beep beep beep etc. or just one beep? Cause if it annoys you that much just unplug the case speaker from the motherboard... 1 beep is fine.
 
Well it stopped beeping now. But when it did it went beeeeeeep pause pause beeeeeep pause pause beeeeeep. It wasn't just that though the monitor remained on standby too.
