Computer beeps and power light blinks after a few hours...?

Hola.
For the last few days (maybe a week, not entirely sure) my computer starts beeping at me continously, and the power light blinks after the computer has been turned on for a few hours. It still runs while it's doing this, but very sluggishly. If i simply reboot, it runs fine for a few hours and then the whole thing starts over again.
Here are the specs-

ASUS A7A266
1.4GHz TBird
256MB PC133 (Micron)
64MB GeForce3
40GB Western Digital HD
4GB Western Digital HD
Debian GNU/Linux 2.2r3
Linux kernel 2.4.12

Sorry I can't give you more info... but if you need something or have a suggestion, please reply.

Sounds like your processor is overheating. Check in the hardware monitor in the bios, or use motherboard monitore in windows. The beeping is a warning that you are too hot!

(edit) Guess you cant use windows, I dont know if linux has a temperature monitoring program...anyone?
