Hi guys....

I just set up a home entertainment system for myself. This basically consists of a computer, 19inch LCD, a wireless mouse and keyboard all connected to my home audio system (5.1). I have placed my LCD right next to my TV so I can easily check my email, chat on AIM, listen to MP3s, watch DivX movies, DVDs and TV all at the same time.....life is good.

The only problem/issue that I?m having is that windows software is not the right stuff for seeing across the room. It's too small! I've messed with the font and resolution settings so that now everything is readable...but I think that software specifically designed for this purpose could be much better.

Any suggestions?

I think this is a hardware issue, not a software one.

Use a frontend, they make life so much easier. You have a couple of options, if you stick with Windows then myHTPC, X-Lobby, and Snap Stream are good. If you switch to Linux you have Freevo or MythTV.
