I want to assemble afew computers for resale, any advise on components. ie warrenty, suppliers, compatibility. Looking for a good motherboard that comes with a good warranty to build the systems around.
thanks,
Rory

If you are building computers for general use, go with something fully integrated. One with integrated audio, video, and if needed, networking. It will bring down costs for you, and if the people want to upgrade later on, you could always add better stuff then.

If you build integrated, please get something that has an external AGP slot (example: i815, KM-133, NOT i810). Nothing pisses off a customer more, than being told he can't upgrade his video card (reasonable speaking, yeah I know Voodoo 5500 PCI, but they are inferior in performance, and cost more).
I suggest Duron's on KM-133, and go brand name if you can (Asus, Abit, MSI, Gigabyte at worst).

Was talking to a guy who uses the intel motherboard. The one he showe me had onboard audio and video and you can get it with onboard Lan. Can't remember the model name. He said it had a 3 year warrenty. That might be a good board to use to build resale systems with.
I'm not crazy about onboard video especially for the gammer crowed.
Why do you guys think?
