Computer architecture research topic

I'm a engineering student (computer science) and for the class/course called "Advanced Computer Architecture", we have to do a little project (research) on a computer architecture related subject. However, I'm having a hard time finding an original and challenging topic, that is feasible for a group of 2 (not so very experienced) students with a limited amount of time (only about 9 weeks, in which there are also many other projects and courses). Perhaps anyone more experienced might have some suggestions/tips? Thanks in advance 😉
