Computer A can ping Computer B, however B is unable to ping A

Alright, so I'm having this problem for some reason.

I explain it in great depth here ***TONS OF SCREEN CAPTURES***

I was having a problem with this music streaming software called SlimServer and I have through the process of elimination figured out that my two computers have a problem pinging each other. The desktop can ping the laptop, but it fails going the opposite way.

Any clues?

Thanks!

Confirm all third party firewalls are uninstalled; confirm Windows Firewall is turned off. Then tell us when you poing the desktop from the laptop, posting output of the command from the CLI.

I agree. The laptop most likely has a firewall enabled (which is a really good idea particularly if you take the laptop to open/public networks) and you won't be able to ping it as long as the firewall is blocking ICMP (ping) requests.
