compute rebooted 15mins into a prime

was prime95'ing.....using the max heat test

15 mins, get a quick blu screen and a serious error message on reboot, no OC's cpu temp was 51 degrees at the time

Athlon 64 3200 (newcastle) 2.2Ghz

using a zalman cnps7000 cu all copper baby with lowest fan setting

i suspect ram?

Most likely it is. Run memtest and see how many errors you get.

Also increase the fan setting for the zalman. That could also be the problem.

A single occurrence? Don't worry, be happy. Repeatable? Time to worry. Prime is NOT memory intensive, it is CPU intensive so I would be looking at CPU or PSU. Of course I'd test the RAM to death too using all the available (memtest, memtest + and the M$ memory test utility) software testers.
. Hope you're not OCing - may have scragged your CPU...
.bh.

well cpu was up too 51 degrees, which is fine, its fine in all games, and runs 24/7, psu is an enermax its a good make but theres always a possibility.......i could be the ram, had the side off so disrupted my airflow, heat spreaders do naff all i know maybe the ram jus got too hot nothing is overclocked..i jus use cool n quiet

cant do mem test....no floppies or cd-r!
