No, I can assure you, it is retarded. Functional, but retarded. I think on the GX270 it also houses SATA and the front panel connectors, but they're all in use at the moment.

I would guess it is proprietary which makes it more expensive for them to get...in that case either getting one yourself from ebay or buying a new PC would be the best options.
