I just bought one from Compusa, i love this cooler. i love the way it screws down to the mb. i love the way it looks. and i love the fact that i can just run down to the compusa any time i want and pick one up.

i like their new line of mod parts they've put in the stores. good idea.

I just bought the 5700 for P4 I like that you do not have to screw it down 🙂

Ya I just found out CompUSA had rounded Scsi cables after i ordered one online. oh well I'll check there first next time.

I have one directly from Zalman, http://www.zalman.co.kr/english/product/cnps6000Cu.htm, and I love it. I won't do any other hsf anymore, this is it. I had a friend to go over to CompUSA to pick one up for himself too, I'll find out how that went soon.

I just got this hs, I love it. It blows enough air over my northbridge hs that I could take the fan off of it. Temps are good, not great but it is very quiet. Now that I got an antec 430 ps in my system, my hard drive is the loudest component.

it has a nice 60 mm fan. it also has an adjuster so that you can run the fan as quiet as you want. i might mod a good 80mm or 92 mm fan on this thing tho.

thermalrights are ok, i had the slk 800 but i sold it recently.

I have been running Zalman's in silent mode for some time and really like them. But never, never, never, never buy anything from CrapUSA. Only the desparate shop at CrapUSA. They have got to be the worst company out there.

the zalmans at the compusa are identical to any other zalman. i can go pick one up w/o having to deal with mail order and waiting and stuff.

who are you to call me desperate. some of us work on schedules and mailorder isn't always suitable.

No, no - I wasn't calling you desparate. The fact that you are on this forum indicates that you're seeking solid knowledge. I just dislike CrapUSA's biz practices and ethics. No insult meant at all.

🙂

btw, i prefer compusa to best buy. if that means anything.

and like i said, their new line of mod products are pretty nice. they have rounded ide cables, they have windowed antec cases. they have neon lights and they carry zalman hsf. not bad.

Yea - I saw their line - didja also check out the prices? Holy Cow! Rounded cables for $20 - $30?!? For what they charge - I will gladly wait the two days for mail order. Best Buy is a bit better, still overpriced unless the item is on-sale. I also hate the rebate frenzy the CrapUSA and BestBuy are engaged in. If it's on sale - sell it to me, don't make me wait 4 months for my savings. Anyway - we're a bit off topic.

yea don't mean to go more off topic here but i think bestbuy is one of the better retailers in my area. much better than compusa. sure comp has nice modding stuff now, but the prices are high and try returning something if u have to (restocking fee on every product if it was opened and 14 days only!) and about that age old rebate trick, if it's not instant it's just not worth it.
