Not sure if this was buried in any other threads, but it deserves it's own anyway......
I went over to CompUSA to see if they had the wireless keyboard and mouse in stock from this weeks FAR deal with TaxCut. I asked an employee and he went to the back to check. While he was back there I notice a couple of MS KB+Mouse sets in the MAC section (it's good for MAC & PC). I grabbed one but I could not find a SKU. The employee came out from the back and I asked him if the box I had was the FAR one. He said yes, those are the substitution for the one in the ad and he assured me the rebates would be good.
Well, to my suprise, it rang up at $0 at the register. NO REBATES
!!!!
FYI, I also purchased TaxCut Deluxe, MS Money Deluxe 2005, and the Norton Systemworks 2005/AntiSpam package that are FAR.
I am sure YMMV as usual but it's worth a shot.
The SKU on the receipt is 305261, it does not show up on the CompUSA web site. I would assume the deal is only good today since the new ad will be out tomorrow. There was one more on the shelf at the Mountlake Terrace, WA store.
