The K8N Neo 3-F is a curious board.

Any way to tell if it's a 64 bit sempron on a 90nm process?
 
might bite on the mobo+processor later this week for a cheapy. Anyone know which is the better board to get? Newegg doesn't have a lot of reviews on these boards (5 max with a rating of 3).
 
For Ross - Personally, I can't stand that type of Jabra headset. They hang off your ear, and it can be hard to hear compared to some some of the others. They do tend to sell well though, so maybe it's just me... For free after rebate though, might be worth a try. Or ebay it and pick up the plantronics voyager maybe...?

The Neo3-F I think is the best board of the pack.

It's got the nvidia nforce4-4x chipset

also of note is that it has an "agr" slot which lets u use an AGP card with it- although testing done by reviewers showed it to be at a performance penalty. it does not appear to run at full AGP bus speeds (it's over the PCI or PCI-E bus)

unsure if a bios update fixes it, but really it's a good holdover board until the prices on the DX10 cards come down (it has a PCI-E 16x slot as well)

I'm still not sure if I want to bite on this or not.
 
Went and am home already. Local radio station was there - to entertain the crowd of 10-15 I suppose. Got the parallel print server ($9.99 AR) I wanted, but they had none at all of the USB print server. So much for 10 minimum. Sigh. Got the Canon throwaway printer ($9.99 AR). Had snacks - they had cookies, brownies, donuts, water, coffee - and came home. They had someone demonstrating Vista but I wasn't paying attention. One thing - all the rebates I got tonight say purchases have to be made between 1/29 and 2/03. Wonder if you could buy the stuff tomorrow and still get the rebates. Hmmm. All the 19" LCD monitors went fast as well as the SD cards and some other stuff. Now to bed. 'Night all.
 
In downtown SF, there were about 100 people in line when I got there a little before 10. I wasn't expecting that. Anyway, no Jabras for me. There were still IP1700s left though.

Updated: I called the morning of 1/30 and they had gotten more headsets. Bought 2 and I'm happy with them - great deal for just tax. The rebate is an e-rebate, # 27513.
 
Thanks OP. I returned a Canon iP1700 from Office Depot this morning after seeing your post last night. Picked up the printer from CompUSA tonight and saved $40. Thanks again. Sweeeeeeet!
 
Picked up the Jabra, printer, CD/DVD case, and Norton IS (free AR with TurboTax purchase). Now, where's my scissors, it's time for rebates.

At least the cd case doesn't have any rebates and the printer is an erebate. Makes things easier. I just finished mine. 2 online and one MIR.
 
Thanks for the heads-up, picked up the 3-pack of 1GB PNY Attaches. I'm somewhat behind on all the latest tech-toy gadgets and this is something I've definitely been looking to pick up for some time. Other two will go to my siblings next time I see them, just hoping their spouses don't get jealous and expect one too.
