COMPUSA I"M FINISHED W/ YOU FOREVER

This company has to be one of the more shady and misrun computer companies in the world. they run adds and don't stand behind them BOYCOTT . nuff said

sorry if i posted in the wrong area, Im so pissed off just spent 2 hours from phone to phone idiot to idiot getting nowhere with those peeps. ok nuff raging.

actually i thought i was in rant and rave area, i was jus soo raging LOL i't's all good now . . . . just wont ever go there agian

Out of curiousity, what did they do to tick you off? They're not grea t in terms of rebates, but they're light-years ahead of some other stores. Their customer service is'nt that bad in my experience, either.

the deal was 10 % off online computer upgrades. i was trying to get a video card which I thought was a qualified item and it wouuldnt reduce the price. then the ugly came, trying to find someone to talk to about that the online and retail store are 2 diff monsters. anyway, no big I'll stick with ebay, newegg and the like.

More love for the compusa. 😛

I don't like them, but i'll buy loss leader stuff when it's a good deal. And for BF, i'll even buy stuff from best buy.

Their policy about taking things back with no restocking fee is top notch!

Keep up the good work Comp-USA!

i think you got it wrong. No restocking only if item is not opened and returning within 14 days. Restocking fees if item is opened.

IMO, CompUSA has one of the worst return policies out of all BIG Retail stores like CC, BB, Staples, OM, OD, Frys etc.

CC, BB, Frys, OD, OM have the best return policy imo. Never a hassle even if item is opened. Frys, BB, CC will even open sealed items, so if you are going to return to these stores, its better to open them yourself 😉

Everytime that you need to do a price match, price adjustment, return, or any customer related stuff, CompUSA (in my area) treats people like thieves. Fvck, if you print a policy up one way, you should at least honor it.

Last week they had an ad in their flyer for a surround sound system. Went to 2 stores and called 2 others, none had the item on the day the flyer came out, workers didn't even know about it I had to show the ad both places. How about I start a business and advertise good deals but not carry them in stock and hope people will come in and buy something else while there. 😛

Word ...

BBB Complaint
Bait & Switch is the oldest retail trick, if everybody would report them here then they'll get their act together/get closed. Would anyone cry if it was the latter??

I haven't bought a thing from CompUsa in 2+ years thanks to their return policy. I bought something from them that didn't work as promised. When I returned it they charged me a restocking fee. I don't remember exactly what the item was. Some sort of audio device. All I remember was it caused my audio channels to bleed through. This was just a poorly built piece of equipment. My surround system almost became stereo because the bleed through between channels was so bad. Oh well. Their loss. They may have made 15 bucks or so on a restocking fee, but they lost literally thousands of dollars worth of business from me.

In Hawaii they cannot charge a retuen fee. However I know some people that work there and they say customers are gutting machines, switching parts and lying to get fraudulant refunds.

this is my tip for getting around the 'restocking fee' charge.

1. go to the store and tell them that your item is 'defective'

2. ask for a replacement. you can get exact item replacements w/o a restocking fee.

3. don't open it, and take it back a few days later for full refund w/o the restocking fee.

Get even the easy way.

Calll the local board of weights and measures.

Complain that hteir in-store marked prices ring up differently at the register.

They will come out and pull 25 items if two are wrong they will pull a 100 items and then the cycle perpetuates itself until they receive a hefty fine for EACH wrong Price and then they may even decide to do a wall to wall inventory on each product......

Talk about a GMs nightmare.

We have rules about what to post in "HOT DEALS" and we still get this....
