CompUSA always blows up there prices when they advertise a special. My brother -in- law used to work there. That is what he said that they do.
I was in CompUSA the other day for some network connectors and took a stroll over to the graphics cards to take a look at their prices.
Insane. Inflated prices. Laughed when I thought of newegg. 215.00 sounds a whole lot better. After taxes and everything, your looking at about 217.00 dollars from CompUSA. Newegg = no tax and free shipping usually.

Newegg's $215 price is for a Sapphire OEM, not sure if that includes any SW or how long the warranty is but they also have the Sapphire 9800 Pro Retail box for $229.

Not sure what you mean by Compusa blowing up their prices, every other B&M still has these going for $299, seems like even without the rebate Compusa's price is about $70 ($230) less than all the rest.

Think about it, at CompUSA you pay a tad more initially but you get it TODAY and you have a place you can take it right back to for exchange or refund if something is bad or you are not happy with it. Throw in retail box and likely a longer warranty, possibly some bundled software. You then send for your $30 mail in and you just saved money as well. No brainer IMO.
