For those who got into the CompUSA July CTO deal.
I am having a heat sensor/fan control problem. And I wonder whether other people
share the same problem?
I first noticed it when I left the machine overnight with my new HSF running prime95.
I put the old HSF back and had the same problem. The problem caused the situation
where the CPU temperature was 67 degrees C and the fan speed was stuck at low
( depending on HSF 1200 - 2000 RPM)!!!
I was able to replicate the problem. I would like to ask others to test their system
to see whether it's an isolated issue or just my motherboard. It takes about 10 minutes.
I use everest to monitor temp & fan speed.
Everest Home Edition
I used prime95 to vary the load & temperature. Prime95 software
Stop and continue prime95 calculations for about 5-7 minutes making sure that each
start and stop causes a fan speed change.
After a number of changes, the fan controller stops responding.
Please report the results.
Thanks for your help.
