Pretty good deal for a cheap PC.

Compusa is actually getting better with their rebates. I got my $250.00 rebate back from them within four weeks.

Now the $50.00 HP/Compaq rebate has been in the first stage (we received your submission, please wait 7-10 days for it to process) for five weeks now with no sign of moving through the next three stages.

compusa has been good lately but they sure are strange.

they had sent me a letter saying they denied my rebate no valid upc, then the following day email saying my the same rebate was just recieved and is being processed and now its been approved and is in the mail. even though it actually recieved it a month before. heck even issued me the same tracking number.

Shipping (mandatory) will be either $69.99 or $79.99, so you MUST figure that in the price, plus tax on the pre-rebates amount.

Makes this deal tepid.

It's CTO, so you can order in-store but then they build it somewhere far accross the Pacific so you really can't avoid the shipping charges.

Actually, in the last go-round @ CrapUSA some of the early buyers managed to finesse the system and avoid shipping, but your chances of pulling that off now are vanishingly small.

When I try to open either link it automatically closes. All I see is a new window flash. Anybody know what is causing it?

Thanks

250 bucks in mail-in rebates from CompUSA?
Forget it. Thats a bum deal.

Just go to e4me.com and get the cheap celeron computer they have.
No discounts, no mail-in rebates, no BS.

OR........

Get their reasonably priced A64 system and have a good computer that will last.
