Just wondering about the specs on that 599 dollar laptop. My ad lists it as 305922 not 307565 as stated in the first post. Whats up with that? About the only differance I see at first glance is mine is 40gig as opposed ot the 30gig one listed.

I am too lazy to get up early enough ot get it, but I will get to CC before 12:00 and see if I can manage to get a pricematch out of them. It would be unlikely, but a darn good deal if it works.

ACtually I must have read a post wrong, i thought someone mentioned it having a 30gig drive. After comparing both those computers, they appear exactly the same, whats the deal?

Yea, I'm sure. The reciept says $49.99, and The Rebate only says $10.

The guys at the register said hte Instant Rebates were ringing up wrong (I think they said they weren't ringing up). SO they were maually entering them based on what the Sale flyer had on it.

I knoew I should hace looked everything up BEFORE I stepped out the door. Anyway, I'm going back there today as soon as they open and demand my $10 back.

Mine in Syracuse NY listed it as having a 30gb drive on the box, but it actually has a 40gb drive... I'd suspect most of these do. If you go to HPshopping.com you can see that they say that the downgrade to a 30gb drive will cause a substantial increase in the timeframe for it getting delivered to you... so it's probably cheaper and easier for them to upgrade you to a 40gb drive and send them out, like they did in mine.

I Scored a laptop and gf scored one too

Planing to return one cuz I also scored one BB Toshiba laptop too. Not much of re-sale I could do at fleabay for these COMPAQ's, as I dont think there is much of a demand !
