Does anyone know if the Compusa power supplies will work well with Athlons and Durons? I hove a 300 Watt ATX and want to use it when I upgrade mainboards and processors.
I remember someone mentioning that its really an antec with just the CompUSA label/box. but I dont know if its true, if thats the case then yea its AMD approved.
Last time I was in CompUsa, past Sunday, they also carry Antec P/S, but were out of stock....maybe cause people were buying them instead, even if they cost more ?...makes one wonder...
Don't get one, first they are very poor quality. The one I had had a resistor smolder for a weak, then finally it disintegrated leaving char marks all over. Salesperson lied to me telling me I had to have it as opposed to a decent quality 250 watt power supply. CompUSA would not replace by mail at my expense even though I lived over 100 miles away from one. CompUSA can bite me.
