WooHoo. Does anyone know if the Jabra Earboom will work with regular cordless phone... I have a panasonic 2.4GHZ. Also the compact flash would be nice for those Kodak frames... I hope it's the lexar so anyone with usb can use it if you can get one with a cable. I have 2 already and one works great but other have a usb problem.

<< free 16mb compactflash card after 20 mmir >>

Thanks for the heads up. Do you have the specs on this? Likely to be popular so I think I'd like to do a pre-buy & price-adjust rather than fight the crowd at the open! SKU or brand/model would be greatly appreciated (card is for a Geeks Kodak picture frame :))

The Lexar CF that CompUSA offers in the free after MIR promotions is bulked packaged and is usually not a part of their standard stocked product.

I still haven't received my rebate for 8MB Lexar CF that was "Free" after $20 REBATE when they had the promotion a few months ago (September 2001, I think).

The Jabra earboom does use the standard jack, so it will work with cordless phones that have the jack.

wesbc, it'll work with any standard headphone jack. Mine does. The weird ear pieces get comfy, once you get used to it.

...wow, guess rockyct and I were replying at the same time...

Am NOT trying to be a thread crapper, but the two times I have done CUSA rebates it has taken a LONG time. Pre-ordered Win XP in early September 01, and took until this month to finally get the PNY memory and Maxtor 40GB HD rebates.

May have been because it was tied in with the Win XP release but 5 months is a long time to wait...

Obviously YMMV.

This information is not correct. I just picked up an individually packed 16MB Lexar CF card (SKU 287251). Just making sure that I have one before they run out. Will go back Sunday to return/buy back and get the rebate coupon.

Does anyone know what the 3+1 multifunction stylus is? All I can see at the store is a 2+1 (pen/pencil/stylus). Thanks.

nallur - do you know for sure that is the right item? When they had the 8 meg CFs for free, they were special packed ones just for that promo, even though they were standard Lexar 8 meg cards. They were a different UPC just for the promo.

Well I can tell you that I have participated in all three Lexar promotions at CompUSA since Labor day and the Lexar CF media for the rebate has always been a special bulked packed SKU# just for the sales and rebate offer is only for that sku# It is not valid for their standard retail Lexar stock. The packaging is barely larger than the CF media itself. I have no reason to think that is 16MB offer will be any different thanthe one offered in their after Thanksgiving day sale. IMO you just screwed up

Blots: The store I went to had about 10 of them inside the display cage.

dboy: I have no idea if this is the correct one for the rebate or not. I'm not going to open it until I see the ad, so if it's the wrong one I'll just return it. This is, however, the only 16 MB card they had in the store and on the web.

I would guess that "eh sitng" is The Sting another software title which has been free after rebate several times.

GetReal - Thanks for the info, but if what you say is true, that sucks, because the whole point of this is to purchase ahead of time to make sure we get some. I hope a CompUsa employee can confirm the special bulk packaged deal, but if that's the way they have done it in the past, I would agree that it probably will be the case this time. There are few things that irritate me more than going into a store to buy some stuff on sale, and finding it "sold out" not long after the store opens. I feel like strangling the first store employee that tells me that.

Thanks for the info on the Earboom. Are we all sure it's a Lexar that's free AR? It was not mentioned in the first post and I was only stating that I hope it's a Lexar. Has this been confirmed yet?

Anyway the current 64MB for $20 is a sweet deal too. Need to pick up one.
