I recenty bought a Compro VIDEOMATE TVGOLD+, which is a TV Tuner Card. I installed it easily, an it worked fine. That was last thursday(3/10). I just booted my computer up an hour and a half ago, and started to watch TV,when i smelt something funny and noticed the card was on fire. I quickly turned off the computer and unplugged everything. After i removed the card, it turns out that the 2 outer pins that connect the card to the mobo were burnt.
I tried to boot the computer, and it turned on but I got no video signal, just a blank screen, with a blinking green power light.
I was wondering if it was likely that my Mobo was fried, my video card was fried, or both. I was also wondering, would Newegg RMA my compro card?
Thanks ahead of time
