Hi guys, i know you're tired of new WC threads but this is different.

The problem is i don't have acces to the components you have since i'm in romania and shipping can be quite a pain since shipping the waterblock it's self will cost me 39$!

Since i have to import the waterblock i need you to tell me a good one to choose, except the D-tek which i can't find for worldwide shipping, or if you can, i'd be forever grateful. Just one thing, I can't find a rad that uses 3/8" or 1/2", only 1/4". I could use reductions on both ends but i don't know how that's going to affect the loop.

I've found at a nearby retailer the Alphacool NexXxoS Pro III (3x120) and it's very cheap, about 70$! Also found the Black ICE Xtreme 3 but it's about twice the price and i'm kind of on a budget, so...

I also have a nearby shop selling the Laing 12V DDC-1T pump, i need to know if it's good enough.

Does picking 1/4" instead of 3/8" or 1/2" impact the cooling performance? (remember, i just want to keep it cool, not OC the hell out of it)

Thanks,
DaQ.

1/4" will choke the life from a good loop.
Talk w/ the folks at Petras or Jabtech and see what they can do as far as putting the whole parts list together and shipping all in one. I'll bet one or the other would be willing to special order what they don't normally stock to hook you up.

Jab-tech would be his best shot since they litterally have everything.

Performanc-pcs is missing some blocks like the d-tek fusion, but they have a wannabe version of it.

Petras has one of the best CSR. Hands down, only place better is jab-tech but thats because john is my friend. :D

Either way i think i told you to email john, and use my name as a referal. If thats not enough for him to help you out, its because he cant deal with your location. But i havent seen john say no once, besides to a person who was trying to have him price match stuff. :\

But yeah jab-tech will have everything you require.

I did a small calculation concerning shipping... if i get all of the parts from the US, shipping will cost around 60-70$ for an order that only costs around 130$.

I really only need a waterblock for the cpu, i've found almost everything else at a local shop and they have fairly good prices.

I PM'd aigomorla with this question but i need an answer as fast as i can so that i may know what to order. All the rads i find have a 1/4" thread, can i mount at least a 3/8" on it?

Also, i could barely find a pump that has 3/8" barbs, a Laing 12v DDC-1T. If i find a better pump, 12v but no molex, can i adapt it? i can find one like this way faster!

Is it possible are you confusing G1/4" or 1/4"BSPP for 1/4" dia? this refers to thread count and pitch, like these,

Also that pump is it but that is the lesser of 2 models, you want the 12V Laing DDC1+ Ultra 18W if you can get it.

OOOOH!! so, it's 1/4" thread length, not diameter! So that means it's in fact 1/2" diameter?

That solves a lot of problems then! I can use O-ring fittings insead of those push-on barbs

I can get the rad here since i found some at a very good price, about 60$, i save a lot! I found a Alphacool NexXxoS Pro III that should be more than capable to cool my cpu, especially since i'm not going to do this for OC purpouses.

Still, i have to import the D-Tek from US, there's no way in hell i was able to find one anywhere in EU.

About the pump, i was barely able to find this one, i'll give it a try anyway. I was able to find some 12v pumps that can handle 1200L/H with modular power, they're built by an industrial standard, extremely long life, in the tech sheet stated that it has 250.000H life expectancy. I can adapt it to a molex for 12V and i bet that would do the job. Also, it has 1/2" fittings so that will really help.
