Component Video to DVI?

I was just wondering if there was anyway of converting my xbox's component video into a DVI signal to use with my LCD monitor... Can anyone point me towards some kind of adapter or a converter box or anything of the sort?

I've found Composite to VGA and DVI to Component... But I'm lookin for Component to DVI...

Thanks in advance!!!

I think the best you'll find is component to VGA. I'm sure there is something that will convert component to DVI, but it'd cost hundreds if not thousands (most likely its a pro grade video processor).

A component to VGA is much easier (to make and to come by) as they're both analog signals, whereas DVI is digital (who woulda guessed?).

I believe there's a pretty nice Xbox VGA adapter that sells for about $50 or so. I can't remember the name, but Gamespot even reviewed it and gave it praise.

Hope that helps ya.

You can get a DVI to component converter for like $30 but I suspect it's pretty impossible to go the other way. Darkwordsman17 is probably right about the really expensive processing for the other way.

EDIT: you'd probably have to get something like a receiver with component input and DVI or HDMI output.

you can always get the vga converter then plug a dvi->vga->component... ive never tried though so i dont know if it'll work
