Component to HDMI: Xbox

I currently bought an acer 22" monitor that i want to use with my xbox, however the xbox is an older version with no HDMI and the only input the monitor has is HDMI/DVI/VGA. Does anyone know a CHEAP way to use the xbox on this monitor? Do I need a component to HDMI converter?

I have a 42" HD tv but it is too big and I do better on smaller TVS! thanks a lot

The Component to HDMI converters are going to be expensive so just buying those cables will be a cheaper option.

I have an older XBox and older DLP TV, and I have mine hooked up via VGA. Works great.
